For IT & development

Connect code to business. Manage repos, sprints and developer billing.

Most software firms bleed money at the seam between development and business. Developers close issues on GitHub but the project manager forgets to bill them. Subcontractor invoices never reach the project margin. Selling Navigator closes the gap between code and cash.

Agile

From repo straight into tasks. Native agile for developers.

Developers hate retyping the same information into two systems. Selling Navigator brings deep integration with your repos and full agile tooling.

  1. 1
Two-way sync with GitHub / BitbucketLink a project to a repo (owner/repo) and turn on two-way sync via webhooks. A new issue in the repo creates a task automatically, and vice versa. Closing an issue on one side propagates to the other.
  2. 2
Automatic commit matchingDevelopers do not leave the terminal. Our parser reads commit messages — write #ID or SN-123 in the commit and the system links that commit to the right task.
  3. 3
Sprints, story points and backlogPlan work in a dedicated Sprints module. Pull unassigned tasks from the backlog into the active sprint and assign story points. The sprint board shows a live points burn-down.
Billing

Turn code into an invoice in a few clicks

Losing thousands a month on 'small' tasks nobody logged or billed? We built a watertight time-approval and instant-invoicing system.

Timesheets and approval

Developers log time on tasks (as standard hours or an exact from–to range) and mark it billable or non-billable.

Turn on 'Time approval' in workspace settings and entries do not go straight to billing. They drop into the admin queue (Timesheets), which approves or rejects them individually or in bulk, with a mandatory reason.

Draft-invoice generator

The Bill work module turns that approved work into money. Pick a client and the system lists every unbilled hour (hours × rate), unbilled expense and unbilled subcontractor bill.

Tick the items you want to include and hit 'Create draft invoice'. Included sources are permanently marked as invoiced so there are no duplicates.

Profitability & API

Manage subcontractors and get hard data on profitability.

Few software houses run without freelancers. The trouble starts when their invoices end up in accounting while you run the project somewhere else — you never know the real margin on a client job.

Selling Navigator has a Vendors register with default hourly rates. When a freelancer sends an invoice, enter it in Vendor bills and link it to the client's project with a 'pass through to client' switch.

Those bills flow as pass-through into Project profitability. The system also accounts for the agency fixed overhead, allocated across active projects. You instantly see whether real invoiced revenue covers the cost of externals and internal team time.

Workflow

The automated flow of a dev agency

1

GitHub & sprint

The client reports a bug, an issue appears in your repo and propagates into the system as a task. Drop it into the active sprint.

2

Commits & time

The developer ships code with #ID in the commit message and logs billable hours on the task.

3

Timesheets & subcontractors

At week's end the project manager reviews the timesheets and approves them. Externals upload their vendor bills for the work.

4

Invoice generation

Bill work collects the approved hours and vendor costs and builds the final invoice in one click — the client pays online (Stripe / PayPal).
